How do they do an allergy test on a baby?

My 10 month old son had an allergic reaction last night and we are pretty sure it is food related. So, today he is going for an allergy test. How do they do allergy tests on somebody his age? I am just curious.
Thanks Ashley, I have heard that too. But, I am still curious about if they do it differently with babies because I heard something about them drawing blood to find out.

My doctor told me that I should have an allergy test done. I have had a friend have an allergy test done and she had a bunch of bumps on her arm. My doctor said it was just a simple blood test. Has the test changed? What should I expect? Is it painful?
